Minnesota State Championship Series

2008 marks just the second year of the Team Competition for the MNSCS race series. The hope that the team competition is well received and will continue to grow the Series seems to have been realized as we get to into the final couple of days before the big kick off to the Series with Erik's Spring Cup race.

Instead of posting rosters and making more predictions I will just stick to the numbers. In all 207 people are currently registered for the team competition for the first race. There are a total of 32 teams registered across the classes with the sport class having the highest number of teams at 11. Larson Cycle Racing looks ready to win the overall title with a total of 42 racers across all 4 classes, but Peace Coffee isn’t far behind with 39. This Sunday's action should be great - make sure you look for those team jerseys as you turn your laps.

If you aren’t on a team or weren’t quite ready for the team competition at the first race, you can still get in for the rest of the season. Your team only needs 5 finishes to count for overall series recognition.
