Dr. Maria O'Connell will be on site for Sundays race, providing free Active Release Technique sessions for participants in the Metric Auto Parts Buck Hill Birch Bump.

 What is A.R.T.?  ART is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.  Its popularity started among elite athletes to improve performance and increase stamina and flexibility. It is now used by many athletes to improve personal records and achieve personal goals. 

It is beneficial to get any problem areas addressed before the race, and it is also beneficial to get treated after the race should any injuries arise.

I injured the patellar tendon in my knee last August while out riding. I have experienced pain in that tendon until 1 treatment of ART.  It truly is amazing stuff, if any of you have aches or pains, or even if you don't, be sure to  stop by her booth to get worked on and experience the results!
